‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ is directed and written by Manoj Tapadia. The film draws inspiration from real incidents that took place at Mumbai’s Cama and Albless Hospital during the 26/11 terror attacks. It is described as a tribute to unsung heroes who showed extraordinary bravery during that crisis.
According to a report by Variety India, the film focuses on the courage displayed by hospital staff members as they worked tirelessly amid fear and chaos. Nurses, ward boys, and other frontline workers are at the centre of the story. The film shifts attention away from the attackers and toward the ordinary people who chose duty over fear.
Kangana plays a nurse in the film. Her character represents the healthcare workers who continued to do their jobs during the attacks.
The film is directed and written by Manoj Tapadia. This is his debut as a feature film director. Girija Oak also stars in the film in a key role.
The film is produced by Pen Studios, Manikarnika Films, and Paramhans Creations, in association with Eunoia Films LLP and Floating Rocks Entertainment. It is presented by Dr Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios. The film will be distributed by Pen Marudhar.
Kangana was last seen in ‘Emergency’, a political drama she also directed and co-produced. In that film, she portrayed former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The story explored the Emergency period imposed in India between 1975 and 1977.
The film is set to release in cinemas on June 12, 2026.
